Why it's worth checking out
Aurora Spa & Bathhouse sits at Sorrento, on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula a scenic drive south of Melbourne. A well-regarded bathhouse and day spa, it offers a tranquil escape in one of Victoria's most popular getaway regions — the kind of considered, restorative experience that pairs perfectly with a relaxed weekend by the bay.
The appeal is that combination of a quality spa-and-bathhouse experience and a lovely peninsula setting, ideal for some genuine downtime away from the city. With Sorrento's beaches, cafes and the wider Mornington Peninsula's wineries and hot-springs region all close by, it's a natural addition to a restful escape.
With a 4.8 rating from more than 500 reviews, it's clearly delighting its visitors. Treatment menus, bathhouse sessions, opening hours and pricing vary, and a popular spa works on bookings with the best times filling up, so it's worth checking current details and reserving directly before you go — especially on weekends and over holiday periods, when the peninsula draws crowds and the popular sessions fill up first.
Spot Score
The Spot Score is our composite of five signals — two about the venue's standing with visitors and three about how complete and current this listing is. It is not a visitor rating and not a verdict on the food or the experience. The 4.8 from 583 reviews is Google's visitor rating, shown separately and never altered by us.
