Fritsch Holzer Park

Fritsch Holzer Park is a spacious green setting in Hawthorn East, Melbourne, suited to everyday visits as well as organised gatherings. Walking tracks, mature trees and large open areas give the park a varied feel, whether you are taking a solo walk, meeting friends for a picnic or planning a larger celebration.

The park can accommodate up to 200 people and is available for weddings, picnics, casual social gatherings and other events. Visitors can use the free barbecue, drinking fountain, picnic shelters, toilets and off-lead dog area. These facilities are available to all park users and cannot be reserved, while a grass area can be booked for exclusive use.

Event bookings require at least 10 business days’ notice. Bookers may apply to bring up to 30 chairs and five tables, as well as a marquee or arbour of up to 40 square metres. Most organised activities on council land also require an event permit. Parking is limited along Rose Street, while Camberwell and Auburn train stations are both less than 1.5 kilometres away. The park’s open layout and practical facilities make it a useful option for relaxed outdoor gatherings, dog walks and low-key time among established trees.
