Why it's worth checking out

ikigai Head Spa and Wellness offers a Japanese-inspired head spa experience in Hawthorn, Melbourne, centred on stepping away from everyday demands. Its treatments draw on traditional Japanese head spa rituals and are presented as a way to support relaxation, calm the mind and leave guests feeling rejuvenated.

The venue describes its main offering as a signature experience rather than a standard spa appointment. Treatment plans are personalised, giving the visit a more tailored feel, while the focus remains on sensory relaxation and reconnecting with yourself. The approach is suited to anyone looking for dedicated downtime, whether that means a quiet solo visit or a considered wellness experience as part of a special outing.

The space is designed as a sanctuary away from the noise of the city. Themed rooms, a tranquil ambience and carefully considered details are intended to create a calm setting from the moment guests arrive. With a 4.9 Google rating from 75 reviews, ikigai has also built a strong local response. Seasonal packages advertised on the website may offer up to 20 per cent off, subject to the venue’s current terms.

Spot Score

The Spot Score is our composite of five signals — two about the venue's standing with visitors and three about how complete and current this listing is. It is not a visitor rating and not a verdict on the food or the experience. The 4.9 from 75 reviews is Google's visitor rating, shown separately and never altered by us.
