Why it's worth checking out
Oche Melbourne puts interactive darts at the centre of a night out, pairing high-tech games with food, drinks and a bar atmosphere in North Melbourne. Each “oche” is a private booth where guests can play, eat and spend time together, making the venue a natural fit for groups looking for something more involved than a standard bar catch-up. Darts bookings are recommended, with online reservations available for groups of four to 24; larger groups and event enquiries can be arranged through the venue.
The food is designed around sharing and eating while you play. The menu draws on street food influences and includes pizzas, tacos, sliders, small plates and larger sharing dishes, with options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-conscious diners. Named highlights include the Oche Pizzas, chicken tacos, cauliflower tacos, corn ribs, smoke house arancini, dirty nachos, Oche karage ribs and churros. The venue also offers a full drinks menu spanning cocktails, beers, cider, wine, sparkling and non-alcoholic choices. Guests can eat and drink without playing darts, although dining tables cannot be reserved separately from a darts or shuffleboard booking.
There is a regular late-week entertainment program alongside the games. DJs play hip hop, house and R&B every Friday and Saturday from 7pm, while free karaoke begins at 7pm on those nights on the first level. For weekend daytime bookings, the two-hour Bottomless Bullseyes package includes interactive darts, a bronze beverage package with selected cocktails, and a spread of pizza, tacos, corn, chips and arancini; it runs on Saturdays and Sundays from midday to 5pm, for a minimum of four guests. Seasonal Christmas packages and function options are also promoted for group celebrations.
Oche Melbourne is an adults-only venue, with an 18+ age limit and a smart-casual dress code. It suits friends’ nights, birthdays, work functions and group celebrations, particularly for people who want an activity built into their drinks and dinner. The venue says it has multiple function spaces, can accommodate larger events by enquiry, and provides disabled access when arrangements are made in advance. It is open Wednesday to Sunday, with later trading on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and is 250 metres from the 200 Queen Street Secure Parking facility.
