Poodle Bar & Bistro

Poodle Bar & Bistro brings a European influence to Fitzroy without losing the character of its setting. Its menu takes familiar classic dishes and gives them the venue’s own interpretation, while the surrounding spaces move between a grand, art-deco inspired public bar and a bistro lined with artwork. It is a considered choice for a meal, a drink or a relaxed gathering in Melbourne’s inner north.

The upstairs area adds another layer to the venue, with a fire, cocktails and a selection of bite-sized snacks. For more private occasions, the dining room is tucked away from the main bar and seats up to 20 people. The covered and heated courtyard has a distinctly European feel and can accommodate groups of up to 50, making it a practical option for larger celebrations or events.

Poodle accepts lunch reservations on Saturdays and Sundays, and dinner reservations from Tuesday to Sunday. Groups of six to 12 dine from the Chef’s Selection menu, while larger bookings and private events can be arranged through the venue. With its mix of bistro dining, bar seating and flexible event spaces, Poodle suits a range of occasions, from a casual solo seat at the bar to a planned dinner or group gathering.
