Why it's worth checking out
Rush Escape Game sits on Glenferrie Road in Hawthorn, one of Melbourne's well-heeled inner-eastern suburbs, on a busy strip near the shops and train station. It offers one of the city's most polished escape-room experiences — a ready-made plan for a group after something more active and engaging than dinner and a drink.
The draw is teamwork under pressure: you're locked into a themed room and have to work the clues, crack the puzzles and beat the clock together. It suits everything from a friends' catch-up to a birthday or a work team-building session, and scales well to different group sizes and levels of experience.
A 4.9 rating from more than 700 reviews is exceptional for the format and speaks to genuinely well-designed rooms and smooth, engaging hosting. Rooms, difficulty levels and themes rotate, and the popular sessions book out fast — particularly on weekends and during school holidays — so it's well worth checking current availability and reserving your slot directly before you turn up.
