Snap Fitness 24/7 South Yarra
A well-rated 24/7 gym in South Yarra with a 4.6 rating across 231 reviews.
Why it's worth checking out
Snap Fitness 24/7 South Yarra is a locally owned gym at 9–11 Claremont Street, with the entrance located in Yarra Lane, the walkway linking Claremont Street and Yarra Street. Members have round-the-clock access to the club, while the team is available during staffed hours for tours, trial sessions and support. The gym is also a short walk from South Yarra train station, Toorak Road and Chapel Street, making it a practical option for nearby residents, commuters and people working in the area.
The facility covers a broad mix of training styles, including cardio, free weights, strength and functional training. There are four racks for squats, deadlifts, bench presses and Olympic or power lifts, along with several machines and setups for lower-body and glute-focused training. Members can also use an Evolt 360 body composition scanner, which provides analysis covering areas such as muscle mass, body fat and energy requirements. The Snap app is available to help members set and track their training goals.
A separate upstairs area is set aside for stretching, core work and recovery, away from the main machines and racks. Recovery equipment includes Normatec compression boots, Hyperice massage tools, foam rollers, stretch bands and therabands. The club also has individual change rooms with showers, private showers listed among its amenities, smart cardio screens and supplements available. Personal training is offered by an in-house team, with new members able to access a complimentary training session and introductory training packs. Small-group sessions of up to four people are also available with personal trainer Dilip, while the gym’s cardio machines provide instructor-led sessions with a spin-style format.
The atmosphere described on the club’s site is community-minded and approachable, with friendly staff and a mix of equipment suited to independent workouts or more guided training. The team includes club management, operations staff, personal trainers and owner Dilip, who was named Snap Australia and New Zealand’s National Personal Trainer of the Year in 2021. The gym no longer runs large group training sessions, so it is better suited to solo gym-goers, members working with a trainer and small training groups than to people looking for a large class program. Members can also access Snap Fitness clubs worldwide, subject to membership terms.
